About the band:
Over a decade ago, the paths of five musicians who have been playing in the area for years crossed – and the convergence of these paths has produced a memorable blues band worth seeing. Over the years, the members of the band has changed, with each new member leaving his mark on the band. Their repertoire featured exciting, high energy traditional blues mixed with cool jazz blues, a few hot jump tunes, silky ballads, and classic R&B.
The band’s rock solid rhythm section lays down a foundation for searing saxophone, hot guitar licks, and edgy vocals unlike any you’ll hear in town. Catch one set, and you’ll realize this band is much more than the usual three chord blues band we’ve all come to expect. This is a band that obviously has fun playing – the kind of fun that infects their audiences.
You’ll hear everything from Howlin Wolf to Miles Davis, BB King to Van Morrison, Albert Collins to Coco Montoya, Brian Setzer to Joe Cocker, Buddy Guy to Tom Waits. The common thread through all 12Pack tunes? Quality music – for the fun of it.
The band features Barry Arbogast on tenor sax, Charlie Lo Tempio on bass, Eric Malinowski on drums, Carol Jean Swist on piano, and Jack “12PackJack” on guitar/vocals.
